GunSkins offers quite a few of desert-themed camouflage patterns with tan and earth colors, including A-TACS AUX and Kryptek Nomad. It's very important that these licensed camouflage pattern match in color to existing gear and apparel of the same pattern. When compared side by side, however, it has been noted that GunSkins looks like it contains pink hues. Is this a printing issue?
When it comes to color tones, the reality is that vinyl changes in color depending on the source and type of lighting when viewing it. This is a phenomenon that is unique to vinyl matte laminate. The same kit can look pink when indoors under incandescent lighting but change to tan when taken outdoors.
We always recommend taking the kit outside in natural sunlight to see the print's true color. When we test for color quality, we always use outdoor lighting when approving for final printing. Likewise, all GunSkins kits are color approved by the camouflage pattern manufacture before offering them. We assure you that everything is as accurate as can be. If you have any issues regarding your print quality, please take it outside and see for yourself what the true color looks like before contacting us.
The majority of GunSkins customers use our product outside. It's our priority that colors are accurate for outdoor applications like hunting or competition shooting rather than being locked up in a gun safe.
