Do GunSkins offer kits in solid colors?

When GunSkins began producing camouflage wraps for firearms and accessories, the goal was twofold: protect the gun and protect the user with camouflage. That's where our tagline comes in: Protection in Camouflage. It's been our desire to offer top-of-the-line camouflage patterns for our products in order to achieve the best concealment in the field and match preexisting licensed gear in the same pattern.

During our pursuit for offering alternatives to camouflage, we have discovered that GunSkins in solid colors do not meet our standard of quality. It is much easier and less expensive to use a can of spray paint and coat the gun manually. Although this is permanent, it will provide a very nice and even solid color over the entire surface.

Installing vinyl on a firearm involves seams, patches, overlap, holes, and other elements that will contrast the look of a single color. By comparison, camouflage is about the natural breakup of color, shape, and definition. It lends well to vinyl because installing a kit consists of placing various pieces next and over each other, like a puzzle. If the vinyl contained a solid color, every imperfection, wrinkle, overlap, and seam will be clearly visible and look awful. Solid finishes are best left to paint, sprays, or hydro-dips.

The closest option we offer for those looking for single colors would include our Battle Worn specialty patterns. These patterns contain a single color as the foundation, but they contain printed graphics that mimic the appearance of having been stressed, scraped, scratched, and worn. This is a popular look, especially for military enthusiasts. Currently, the Battle Worn patterns are: Dark Earth and Snow Trooper.
