Will the serial number be visible after installing GunSkins?

Every pistol will have the serial number in a different location, or multiple locations. Common areas where the serial number can be found include the frame, on the chamber, or under the trigger guard. If the serial number on your gun on the frame or the slide, it may be covered by the Pistol Skin. However, this is not usually an issue because the vinyl can be pressed into the embossed text to reveal the shape and definition of every number.

To do this, hit the vinyl with heat and press firmly using the palm of your hand or your fingers. Using a piece of foam or a sponge will yield better results as these will encompass the entire surface and press the vinyl into every crevice. When finished, the text will be clearly visible and present no issues, regardless if you open or conceal carry.

As an alternative, you may trim away the vinyl using a sharp hobby knife to expose the serial number. The decision comes down to personal preference. Either way, the serial number will always be visible. There is no compromise when installing a Pistol Skin on your gun.
